Adventures of Sisters Holloway Holloway-Smith

Holloway-Smith Noir is the collaboration between sisters Alice Holloway-Smith (technical prowess) and Sophie Holloway (va va voom). Together they create unique and limited edition pieces of up-cycled lingerie. Inspired by Weimar cabaret, Parisian junk shops and sapphic literature, these pieces are destined to spark erotic imagination and kindle boudoir poetry.

My London Boudoir Photography Experience… Part 2

The day of the shoot has arrived and I’m welcomed by the lovely Carlo and Faby. We decide how I would like my makeup and then I pull out what I’ve chosen to wear so between them they can start to plan the next few hours. Emma, their fabulous makeup artist, sets to work on my face— which has decided, of course, to look horrendous just in time to have my picture taken.

Luckily I’m in great hands and I have to say the transformation is incredible. Emma’s background is fine art but tells me that although she loves to work on more creative photoshoots it always gives her immense satisfaction to see the clients joy after she’s done her stuff. She did not disappoint and with a smoky eye really making my blue eyes ‘pop’. I’m ready to start getting my kecks off.

You are photographed by both Faby and Carlo at the same time, which makes you feel instantly at ease. The fluidity of the photoshoot is down to the dynamic of the married couple. Their clear direction and positive language means it’s actually quite fun and I almost forget the daunting task that I have embarked upon.

Wearing a dress given to me by my grandmother, I am fully clothed in my first shots. I imagine this is to ease you in, but almost immediately I’m looking forward to getting down to my undies. What I’m feeling a bit more anxious about, however, is stripping down to my pasties. With my job, I’m used to seeing beautiful burly girlies on stage wit their amazing bangers and I’m not quite sure I feel the same about my own ample pair.

Once again, Faby and Carlo are wonderful at making me feel relaxed and I feel more and more confident as the day goes on. The clock strikes 3 and I rush off, my picture viewing session booked in for a few weeks time. I leave feeling pampered after a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing day and I’m excited to see what Faby and Carlo have managed to capture.

All will be revealed in the final chapter of this post!

Xx.

My London Boudoir Photography Experience Part One

By Miss Va Va Voom

It’s the day before the big shoot and I’m dashing across London and, as usual, last minute Linda over here needs to collect the darn knickers I’ll be wearing. Then I’ll need to stay up late sewing nipple tassels (thank cripes for concealer!) because tomorrow I will be embarking on the beginning of a journey with LondonBoudoir Photography

LBP take wonderful pictures of ladies in their smalls and we are very excited to be working together on some collaborative projects very soon. To start our relationship we have to find out a bit more about each other so I’m going to be experiencing exactly what having a boudoir shoot entails… Tomorrow… Eeeeek!

Faby and Carlo, the wonderful couple behind LBP, have a passion for pictures and making ladies feel special. This combination, as you can imagine, produces some stunning photos and some extremely happy customers. They believe that every lady deserves to have some really beautiful images of themselves whether it be a gift for someone special or simply a confidence boosting gift to yourself.

With LBP it’s not just a photo-shoot but also an entirely wonderful experience from start to finish. So far I have had my consultation where they tease as much information as they can out of you. That way they make sure that they are well prepared in all things you for when you arrive for your shoot.

I’m going to be honest; I’m a little apprehensive about sharing the photographs online. I’ve been eating a bit too much cheese as of late and seem to be wearing cellulite-detecting goggles every time I glance at my butt in the mirror. Having said that, I trust I’m in very capable hands tomorrow. My Pinterest mood board is fully stocked with the kind of look and feel I want from the shoot that might add a little excitement to that mix. I mean, hair and makeup done for you and lying around channeling your inner vixen… what’s not to like?

Lowri the Incredible! No, that’s not her stage name but it may as well be. She’s bloody incredible and a very lovely lady too. We sat down and had a chat with her a few weeks back and, luckily for you, she’ll be performing at Wam Bam this Saturday. You can read the interview here. (Photos via Lowri’s website)

We’ve received a postcard from Mimi Noir. Looks like she’s not gonna have any tan lines thanks to her mermaid pasties! If you’re in the mood for feeling like a mermaid they’ve finally been added to our shop! http://bit.ly/NFfLcK

We got to interview the lovely Miss Betsy Rose about vintage style, her new Russian Countess costume we made for her and people’s misunderstandings of burlesque artists. You can read the interview here: http://bit.ly/PzkM4z

Our peacock inspired pasties are now available on our webshop. Ooh mama…
